A Journey To BLOBTOWN
In 2008, BlobFest celebrated the 50th anniversary of the release of The Blob and there were lots of camera crews to document the fun. Sure many of those were for local news coverage, but there were a few independent filmmakers who were looking to put together there own films about The Blob and BlobFest. Last week, one of those crews released their finished product – Blobtown. And despite my own appearance in the short film, I think it does a pretty good job of encapsulating Phoenixville and the fun that is BlobFest.

This movie I watched when I was 4 and 5 years old and so on every year after that, that it was on t.v. this was 1968. I will tell you that I was terrified for most of my young life! I kid you not. until I had my first son , I was not sleeping against the walls without putting something against it and me lol. OMG I let my son watch it at a young age and he too was effected, now my grandson at 4 years old got a look at it and it scared him to death lol.. total classic film that will go to generation after generation.
